There will be road closures on Sunday, 21st September, due to the Ipswich Half Marathon.

The road leading to Suffolk Food Hall will be shut from 8:30am. While the marathon is taking place, Suffolk Food Hall will remain open as usual across all departments. However, please allow a little more time for your journey and access the Food Hall via the A14, Junction 56 and Redgate Lane. Signage will also be in place from the A137 towards Tattingstone to assist with navigation.

For more detailed information on road closures and access routes, you can visit this link.

Additionally, below is a graphic showing the specific route into the Food Hall, marked with a purple line. Please note that this is managed with temporary traffic lights, so we recommend allowing extra time for travel.

The runners route will pass the Food Hall twice just before miles 7 and 10, so why not offer support to the runners at the roadside with a takeaway coffee from our Café, a treat from our bakery, or from the panoramic views in our Restaurant.

The Food Hall will be open 10:00am – 4:00pm but our Café will be opening at 8:00am serving hot & cold drinks, bacon sandwiches, toasties, scones and cake.

If you’re fancying a cooked breakfast, our Restaurant will be opening at 9:00am. Book a Table here.

The road is scheduled to reopen as normal by 1:00pm.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 21st September and good luck to all of those who are taking part!
