Places to Stay in Suffolk & Essex

The Dairy is a fantastic refurbished holiday lodge with three bedrooms (1 ensuite and 1 shared shower room), and plenty of living space. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard and has a contemporary feel, with modern and eco luxuries. Relax on the private decking area and watch the stunning sunsets whilst pedigree Red Poll cattle and horses graze in the distance.
The Parlour offers wonderfully spacious living and dining area which opens out into the private south facing courtyard. Upstairs a huge double room with French windows looking over the pastureland and an en suite bath and shower room. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom and shower room.
Lodge Farm dairy buildings are cleverly designed for a large group to holiday together or for three very different groups to holiday in privacy. With double, sound-proof, interconnecting doors and private outdoor areas, each lodge occupies its own space.
“Adelaar” is a beautiful Dutch barge, originally built in 1906 but updated and modernised. She is located on the foreshore of the beautiful River Orwell in Suffolk, 5 minutes walk from the riverside village of Pin Mill. She is in an absolutely stunning location – this is not a place for party people, but is tranquil, atmospheric and scenic. You don’t need to be a sailor – she only floats for a few hours every month, and even then the water is only a couple of foot deep.
The Concrete Castle offers an abundance of space, making this property the perfect venue for all types of group gatherings. Beyond it’s thick concrete walls and steel fronted door lie vast rooms, unconventional in their shape and size just waiting to amaze their occupants!
Freston Tower is a six-storey Tudor folly that looks out over the River Orwell, perhaps built to coincide with Elizabeth I’s visit to Ipswich in August 1579. There is a single room on each floor with the sitting room at the top to take advantage of the unrivalled views.

Brand Barn at Broxtead is the end section of our converted Suffolk barn with large picture windows overlooking the meadows around Vale Farm. The exposed structural timbers and timber board roof remind you of its agricultural past as farm storage and stabling when the working horse was “king” for working the land.

Sewell Barn is the end section of our converted Suffolk barn with an outside staircase reaching the bedroom (optional!) The exposed structural timbers and timber board roof ensure the character of this building has been retained. This barn is a cosy “nest” for two or a little haven of peace and quiet perhaps if rented in conjunction with the other barns.
Vancouver Barn is the middle section of a converted Suffolk barn tastefully and sympathetically converted into luxury holiday accommodation in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the Suffolk Coast and River Deben.
