Welcome to the best of Suffolk

Locally loved, locally sourced

At Suffolk Food Hall, we believe the best food tells a story and ours is firmly rooted in the Suffolk soil. As farmers at heart, our passion for fresh, local produce runs through everything we do, from the cuts in our Butchery and the loaves in our artisan Bakery to the delicious picks in our Deli.

Explore the Food Hall, where regional produce, fine wines, artisan cheeses and delicious pastries make it hard to leave empty handed. Then lose yourself in our Home & Garden departments, a treasure trove of beautiful items for your home, as well as gifts for every occasion.

Feeling peckish? Stop for coffee and cake in The Café or settle in and soak up the stunning Orwell River views over a seasonal farm-to-fork menu in The Restaurant. For the little ones, our bouncy pillow and adventure play equipment are just the ticket for burning off energy and sending them home smiling. However you choose to spend your time here, you’ll discover plenty to make it worthwhile.

What’s great about this place is the view from the outdoor seating area of the Orwell Bridge and river estuary. But I find the food offerings very limited and the ordering and drink collecting area very busy and stressful and noisy.

We broke our journey here and as always, excellent food from the café. It’s nice in the shade with a cool breeze coming up off the river Orwell.
The foodhall is excellent with a wide variety of local products. Worth a small detour off the A12 for this gem.

My daughter and I came here for an afternoon tea. My birthday treat. It was amazing. Way too much and we took quite a bit home.
Big windows so you have a lovely view of the iconic Orwell bridge.
Highly recommend.

Great place to come. Very popular with plenty of parking. Sit in or outside for food. Good quality products. Great ice cream with so many flavourings, hard to choose. Settings amongst the countryside overlooking the River Orwell. Good play equipment and toilets are good. Well equipped for wheelchairs too. A very pleasant day out.

A nice place to visit with the family. The shop has two parts: the food court and deli, which has a great selection on offer; the gift shop and garden centre, which again is well stocked with lovely items.
The cafe serves both hot drinks and fresh food, which are tasty and delicious, and the staff work hard.
There’s a popular bouncy pillow for kids, but this can get a little crazy at times, with both older kids and toddlers using it at the same time.
