The team of Andy and Victoria at Deben Events are back for 2024 with their hugely successful Vintage and Makers Markets. We’ll be welcoming them and a large amount of awesome markets and stall holders to Suffolk Food Hall on four different dates in 2024.

Join us and them on:

The markets run from 10am until 4pm and the Food Hall, Café and Restaurant will be open as normal throughout.

At every market there are amazing gifts, crafts, antiques and vintage clothing and it’s always a popular day with plenty of FREE parking.

We have released our list of Quiz Nights for 2024!

After the popularity of 2023, they are back, and we have kept the price the same at £25 per person which includes quiz entry and a two course dinner (main and dessert).

Teams of 2-8, with limited numbers for each evening and three prizes to be won!

willow weaving workshop

Liz is back and this time the focus of the weaving workshop is bird feeders. 

She provides all the tuition and equipment (although if you do have your own secateurs please bring them with you) to create a beautiful bespoke piece. 

It’s a light-hearted session and the price includes a coffee (or tea) and pastry. 

£50 per person. 

The course runs from 10am – 1pm 

 

amy alive – a tribute to amy winehouse – sold out

Our next live music evening in the Restaurant is a tribute to the late and great Amy Winehouse.

Kate our singer will be breaking her peformance into two acts on the night.

The first half of her Kate’s performance is a tribute to Amy Winehouse and her classics and the second half will be a trip across the decades with some tunes to get you out of your seat and on the dance floor.

The evening is priced at £40 per person which includes a two course dinner, the menu of which will be released soon.

There are a limited amount of tickets for this one.

Approximate timings for the night are:

6.30pm Arrivals until 7.15pm

8.45pm A trip across the decades

The Restaurant @ Suffolk Food Hall presents…. Halloween Afternoon Tea

After the spooky success last year, our Halloween special-tea is back.

Join us on either Wednesday 30th October or Thursday 31st October, we have two time slots for each day 3pm and 3.15pm (please select the correct date and time when booking).
Children’s teas are priced at £15.95 and Adult teas are priced at £24.95.

The tea will feature a range of themed sweet treats that might look too scary to eat!

Think gravestone brownies, bloody-finger biscuits and ghost marshmallows, we’ll reveal the menu nearer the time… so keep your eyes peeled.

Please note that whilst individual items on the menu cannot be switched out, we will have variations (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan and Vegetarian) – Please let us know in the order notes, we will ask for allergen info nearer the time too.

It’s time to get your spookiest outfits on including your dancing shoes!

Our children’s Halloween Disco was a huge hit last year which means it’s returned for 2024

Join us on Thursday 31st of October from 6pm until 8pm.

£15 per child which includes a choice of:
• Sausage and chips or a cheese sandwich and chips
• Party games
• Colouring
• Best Costume
• And, of course, our disco!

Adult tickets are priced at £2.50 each, there is a best price for adult costume too!

Pre-booked and pre-paid only, and there will be an adult menu available to order off during the evening.

The first hour of the evening will be background disco music, with the remaining hour and a half a full disco, party games and dancing.

A Cosy Christmas Concert. 

Our last music evening of 2024 and we’re going out with a cracker!

Join us on Friday 20th December as we welcome talented singer Tania Hambleton, she’s appeared on The Voice UK being chosen by Olly Murs and has gone on to sing in establishments all over the World, she’s currently performing as a resident on a big cruise ship touring the world. She will be performing two sets during the evening.

The evening will consist of some classic Christmas songs and some to get you on your feet and slow dancing. The price of the ticket includes a two course dinner of which the menu will be released nearer the date.

Our Free to use bouncy pillow is always a hit with the children, under 12’s only and with adult supervision, they can enjoy a bounce on the inflatable pillow. Not only that, but we have plenty of space to run around, kick a football or just enjoy the views in our paddock areas.

We have child friendly options for food and drink in the Food Hall, Café and Restaurant, and our partners run some fantastic events and clubs for kids too.

Ilia’s Kitchen run children’s and teenager cookery workshops during the school holidays.

FieldFit offer obstacle course classes for children and often have pay and play days too.

Orwell Fitness have launched their ‘Crossfit Kids’ programme, fitness classes for children.

Relax and unwind with the help of our on-site partners. The site has expanded over the past couple of years to include a Hair Salon and Beauty Salon.

Salon by the Bridge, our resident hair salon is a creative yet relaxing salon, they offer a wide range of services including hair cuts, colouring, Brazilian blow dry, Yuko permanent hair straightening and other services. With a wealth of experience, their relaxing yet modern salon has been popular ever since its inception.

Bodylines Beauty Salon is based upstairs in our Cook House building, they offer an extensive range of facial and body treatments to take great care of your body. They also provide manicures and pedicures and the full range of treatments are available on their website.

Feet at the Bridge is a specialist foot clinic, both Louisa and Samantha have extensive experience both in the NHS and private sectors. They offer a range of treatments and diagnostics, all of which can be found on their website.

Being the Suffolk Food Hall we had to talk about food options:

The Food Hall has a full carcass butchery, artisan scratch bakery and fresh delicatessen counter, add on top of that a greengrocer, grocery and alcohol department too. Our home and garden section offer gifts for both home and outside, plus our hamper department provide ready-made hampers or a bespoke creation service.

In terms of dining in the Food Hall, we have a Café open seven-days-a-week, providing light bites, toasties, sweet treats and all your favourite hot drinks, with seating both inside and a new covered area outside to take in the views of the Orwell Estuary.

The Restaurant @ Suffolk Food Hall is based in our Cook House building, a more substantial dining experience than that of the Café, The Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and pre-booked afternoon tea, also offering a selection of sandwiches and platters. The view is enhanced by our huge panoramic windows and at the end of January will be going through a complete refurbishment.
