There’s something special about setting aside an afternoon to indulge and our Afternoon Tea is designed to do exactly that. Served in The Restaurant with stunning views across the River Orwell, it’s a chance to slow down and treat yourself.
Expect a thoughtfully assembled tier of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream and an ever-changing assortment of delicious cakes. Alongside these, you’ll find a few well-chosen savoury touches.
To drink, choose from a generous selection of teas and herbal infusions or opt for freshly brewed coffee. Each guest is also invited to enjoy a handcrafted speciality drink. Our Afternoon Tea menus are designed to cater to all palates, with traditional, vegetarian and vegan options as well as a dedicated children’s menu.
Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday to Friday at sittings from 1:00pm, 1:15pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm and 3:15pm and on Saturdays at 3:00pm and 3:15pm. Prices are £22.95 per adult and £12.00 per child, with adjusted pricing for tables of more than eight guests – please call to discuss.
We’re happy to cater for vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten-free dietary requirements with at least 48 hours’ notice. Please be aware that, as our kitchen uses shared equipment, we’re unable to guarantee that any of our products are completely free from allergens. As Afternoon Tea is a set menu, individual items cannot be substituted.
Afternoon Tea is pre-bookable only and requires at least 24 hours’ notice. Card details are required to secure your reservation and any amendments made within 24 hours of your booking may be subject to charge. Places are limited at each sitting and we’d recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

At SFH provenance matters, the quality is non-negotiable and the passion for local and regional food runs through every department. Start at the Butchery, where our own Red Poll herd and trusted local farmers supply the meat, or head to our scratch Bakery, where everything is made daily on-site.
The Deli, Greengrocer and Winery round things out with the very best from the region and on Thursdays and Saturdays, our pop-up Fishmonger brings our customers the freshest local seafood.
