Istvan leads the service team, and Kaine leads our team of chefs, all of whom welcome you to The Cookhouse Restaurant.
Our latest a la carte menu is designed to offer something for all lovers of food. Our signature Red Poll beef remains key to our restaurant, but is complimented by an increased offering of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The brigade of chefs cook from scratch every day using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The dishes combine classic recipes alongside small interpretations that offer something a little different or new.

In order to provide a level of service we are proud of, we kindly ask groups of ten or more to pre-order in advance, and secure bookings with a deposit of £10 per person. For larger groups please contact the events team on 01473 786618 to discuss in greater detail or email.
Whatever the occasion we have the space to host. Our tailored dining service, in a private room, is co-ordinated and delivered by our dedicated Events team. Our Feast room, overlooks the Orwell, and for smaller numbers, our Auditorium is perfect. For larger numbers, The Cookhouse is also available.
Served in the Cookhouse restaurant, with unrivaled panoramic views across the estuaries of the Orwell, our afternoon tea consists of a selection of sandwiches, cakes, savouries and one of our fruit scones with cream and jam. Unlimited tea, or coffee if preferred, are included.
Afternoon tea is served from 3pm daily. Gift vouchers are available.
We are able to cater for all dietary requirements, with advanced notice. All bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and confirmed by a member of our team.

The Café in the Food Hall is also open for teas, coffees, cake and lighter bites. These can be taken out to the bouncy pillow, and seasonally, the Beach Hut is open which sells delicious local ice cream.
