The Hot Cross Bun Burger

This one is like marmite, you’re going to either love it or hate it, I’m on the side of love. The hot cross bun burger, a dish to start a debate…

Ingredients:

  • 1 freshly baked Food Hall Hot Cross Bun
  • 1 Our Own Beef Burger
  • Hand full of salad leaves
  • 2 slices of Coastal Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tbsp of Stokes Mayo
  • 1 tbsp of Stokes Ketchup
  • 2 rashers of our Streaky Smoked Bacon

Method:

  • Preheat the grill to a high heat. 
  • Grill the beef burger for about 5-8 minutes on each side to your preference. At the same time, grill the bacon until crispy. When the burger is almost cooked, add the cheese to the top of the burger and place back into the grill until the cheese is melted. 
  • Lightly toast the hot cross bun. 
  • Then assemble the burger in the bun with the bacon and lettuce, serve with Stokes mayo and ketchup. 
  • Enjoy!
